The Handmaid was the head shaman before her, and Aradia is following in her footsteps. By doing so, she is continuing the lineage of shamans that came before her. Aradia’s bloodline, much like those of yellow blood, are already born with a very high spiritual sense. She takes her duty very seriously. She’s very disciplined about her role and will only allow herself to relax when she’s not on duty. Unlike, say, Karkat who can take his responsibilities a little too far sometimes, Aradia is particularly balanced for her sake and others.
